This token features a rare obverse die used only for -1a & -2a. The main identifying features are the arrows on either side of the & and the absence of a comma after the city name.
Bought from Steve Hayden in 2008. The description from his auction catalog reads as follows: "Very rare obverse die shared with -2a, an R8. This is one of just three examples I have seen offered of either variety."
Hayden has been closely following CWT sales for decades. It could be a very long time before you see another one of these offered publicly...in any condition...at any price.
