This is one of only 7 merchants who purchased tokens from more than one mint, out of about 264 merchants total in Michigan. This merchant is the easiest to obtain an example of each mint. Evidently, Jackson bought his first tokens, such as this one, from Childs as they are much harder to find and very difficult to find in nice condition. The tokens made for him by Lanphear are readily available.
The supposedly R9 MI225C-3a is about 4 times more common than this token, in my experience.
Jackson was an amateur thespian and even built a hall for his productions. That is the significance of Jackson Hall on his other tokens.
